Dr. Konefal, DMD
Dr. Konefal is grateful for the opportunity to build a modern dental health center while continuing to care for the patients who have been coming to this practice for the past 40 years. He brings nearly a decade of private practice experience to Essex and hopes to provide the best possible dental care for his community.
Dr. Konefal grew up in Westfield, Massachusetts, moved to Boston for school, and now lives happily on the North Shore. He earned his degree in Biology from Boston College and dental degree from Tufts University. Since graduating from dental school, he has worked in private practices alongside great mentors in the metro-Boston area.
Dr. Konefal and family reside in Salem, MA. He is an avid Boston sports fan, which includes cheering for his alma mater BC Eagles. He considers himself a pizza enthusiast and has spent many years in the kitchen honing his pizzaiolo skills. He enjoys being outdoors and when he’s not running around town, you can find him exploring events and activities on the North Shore.
Shamus Hogan, DMD
Dr. Hogan was born and raised on Boston’s North Shore. Attending high school at St. John’s Prep, Dr. Hogan continued his education at Boston College, and received a Masters as well as his DMD from Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Hogan completed a 1 year General Practice Residency at the Washington DC Veteran’s Affairs Hospital, later moving back to Massachusetts to work in private practice. Dr. Hogan is happy to be back home serving the community he loves. In his free time, you can find him horseback riding in Rowley, or spending time with his family and friends at their favorite beaches and seafood spots on the North Shore.
Janelle
DENTAL ASSISTANTJanelle brings over 20 years of dental experience on the North Shore to Essex Bay Dental. She enjoys building relationships with her patients to help make their dental experience a little more pleasant. In her free time Janelle enjoys family time, trips to the beach, hiking, cooking, and dancing.
Maggie
OFFICE MANAGERMaggie joined the Essex Bay Dental team in 2020. She attended Husson University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and MBA in Healthcare Management and Administration. To continue her education and expand her knowledge as a new office manager, she has become a member of AADOM (American Association of Dental Office Managers). When she is not in the office you can find Maggie exploring the Seacoast or spending time relaxing on Sebago Lake.
